South Amelia Island Shore Stabilization Association

Beaches are not only naturally beautiful destinations, but are highly valued resources of significant economic importance.

In 1993, the South Amelia Island Shore Stabilization Association (SAISSA) was created with the purpose “to protect, preserve, restore and enhance the beach/dune system on the south end of Amelia Island.”
